I have
Evga 780i mobo
Q6600
Zalman 9700 NT
Corsair XMS2 DHX 4096MB Dual Channel TWIN2X4096-6400C5DHX

How am I going to successfully overclock these hardwares?
I tried to overclock it, but I failed. Post froze up on me.

Here is what happened:
When I finished messing with the bios, I got to the blue screen, so I changed the voltage make it a little higher and blue screen again. After I change the voltage again, I ended up on black screen with safe mode etc. I chose start windows normally and ended up to black screen; therefore, I pressed the reset button. I tried to go to the bios for the fourth time and I was stuck on post. The post stopped!
I found a solution! I popped the battery out to reset the CMOS and never tried again to overclock, but I still want to overclock my PC

These are the changes that I did:

The changes that I did last night in the bios were these:
*Advance Chipset:

- CPU Config:
- CIE Enhanced Halt State = Disabled

- FSB & Memory Config:
- FSB memory clock mode = Linked
- FSB (QDR), MHz = 1200

- Voltages:
- CPU core = 1.40v
- CPU FSB = 1.4v
- Memory = 1.925v
- nForce SPP = 1.45

Did I do it right?
About the CPU core and Memory I chose the minimum green voltages, but the CPU FSB and nForce SPP I chose the highest green voltage.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi ....hi, could you put what frequency you are trying to run with, and the cpu/ram ratio.

It looks that the memory is set for 1200Mhz.....too high for the memory modules to take....have a look Here at the maximum these guys got from that kit Smile
