I did what Deathwalker said and plugged monitor into toher graphics card, but the monitor wont work. I have disabled sli in Nvidia control panel, but I am thinking too disable it so the other card will work with monitor should I take off the small rectangle connecting card connecting the 2 graphic cards, OR is there something I should do in Bios, or in other words how can I make them as both single independent graphic cards?
OR should that automatically happen with sli disabled? Confused

Number 2 Nvida graphic card is faulty. I went to control panel, settings, clicked on display one properties came up with normal setting 1920x1200 refresh rate 32bit Clicked on number two graphic card and setting came up as 640x480 and refresh rate of 4, I tried this with the sli enabled and disabled same result. I also did a sysetem retore to a couple of days before system started with the b.s.o.d it restored it okay, but still number two graphic card not working.
My PC is still under warranty, canyou Vincent send me another 8800gtx with instructions on how I can fit it without getting water all over the place. Thanks Confused

Vincent thanks for advising me to use an ofritus, but I think I will leave it for now for 2 reasons.
1. I took the main culprit Card out I noticed that it had pulled out slightly an Hard disc lead, and also the wire that the sensor was on seemed to be blocking th card from seating itself right in, cant be sure.

2. when only one card was working I honestly noticed No difference in performence to having the in sli which has made me wonder whether it is really needed sli? ( Think the dream machine should have sli for the snobbish reason )

After cleaning the contacts etc pushing card right in sli is now working with no b.s.o.d and no errors. I will now see if it continues to be like this and hope for the best. Once again thanks for your help Very Happy
