Anyone has a disassembly guide for the M571RU ?

I’ve been trying to remove the CPU fan for some time now... Unfortunately I didn’t manage to find anything in Google Crying or Very sad

And Clevo's service manual refers to everything except the fans...

I’ve removed the bottom part and the keyboard with the silver metal under it and still can’t get to the fan which I need to fix/replace in order to get rid of this annoying sound Sad

hi maybe this link might help you out Here..its has links and pictures of different Toshiba laptops but most are lappies are similar.

Are you sure the sound is not coming from the graphics card fan? does this have a 8800M GTX this could be this making the noise Ponder

Sadly those Toshiba guides don’t work with Clevo's cases, not even the way to remove the keyboard (that’s the part that took me a while and at the end way sooo easy Very Happy).

As for the sound, the reason I believe that it’s the CPU's fan problem is because I removed the bottom part and booted the laptop, then with a piece of cloth I tried to reduce the fans RPM (by touching it Razz) and the sound stopped. So hopefully I’m right Smile

Now I just need to find a way to remove the fan from the laptop so I can use some DW-40 without worrying I’d spray the whole laptop Laughing And worst case scenario buy another one from Vadim and replace it myself. Since I’m not in UK atm and I’m coming back in 3 months so I can’t really wait for that long to get it fixed since the sound is driving me crazy Smile

ps: not sure if that’s considered the CPU fan. The laptop has 2 fans... The small one in the middle is the problem Rolling Eyes

Sorry for the bad quality, my digital camera is quite old Sad

The fan that’s making the noise is the one in the middle

Since this is my first laptop to open... As I’ve seen from many guides in Google laptop fans can usually be removed from the upper part of the laptop so I’ve removed the keyboard but still no luck getting there. Not sure if I have to remove the motherboard too...

The screws of the fan seem to facing the bottom part thought... So I’m very confused Sad There was a time I removed every screw I could see but still didn’t manage to find a way to get there...

It looks as though your central fan is linked to the large fan by a same cross-over plate?

Are there any intructions on how to upgrade/remove those ram sticks? It looks like you have to remove the fan in that process.

Ram sticks are easy to be removed without unscrewing anything Razz

The main issue as you noticed too is that metal plate above the fan... The fan screws are under it. So if I manage to remove that plate ill be able to remove the fan too.
