Last night my computer had a bit of a funny turn!

I switched it on and it started to load up, after the windows XP screen every thing went black, which is normal. But then nothing else happened, So I restarted the machine, the POST screen came on and stayed on Detecting USB Devices (or somthing similar). So I switched it off and on again and this time I got Overclocking Failed (I'd not changed any overclocking settings, or anyother settings for that matter) Press F1 to restore defaults, F2 to continue. It appeared to start normally and load windows but windows then crashed.

When it restarted I got the same Overclocking Failed message, so pressed F1 to restore defaults. The PC then would not recognise the HDD's so wouldn't boot up. I'd previously taken a photograph of every screen in my BIOS, so using this printout input all the settings back in. Restarted the computer, and everything was fine.

Anyone any Ideas on what would cause such bizzare behaviour?
