I was looking at the Vadim site last year to buy a new PC and me being a numpty decided to buy the gear from dabs.... how lame!
I got an Antec P82 case and it is a bit of a tight squeeze and I know that SLI is out of the question on my set up due to the space
Here's a strange idea. How about if I asked the nice chappies at Vadim to recase my PC and give it some TLC like watercooling and maybe a nice SLI setup? I might even be tempted to do some more upgrades as well
I know the owner of Dabs, well used to not spoken to him for a couple of years. He started well when he first opened, but now in my opinion only the servic and price you you pay is horrendous. Don't know the latest news about them.
Just a suggestion, if you can why don't you sell your dabs parts, and start again with a brand new modern designed computer from Vadim, you could make a system up with their build menu, you will be surprised at how low cost you could go. I know after Dabs you might not believe this but they are so helpful the boss and the staff they will really go out of their way to help you in any way they can, they really care.
Stick around mark you wont be dissapointed
I use dabs regularly - I think their service is pretty good too for parts - not idea about a complete system as I've never brought one from them. Fair enough that you don't get much human interaction, their automated system works fairly well and is good for mundane parts.
Having said that, I wouldn't buy a complete computer system, as I get the impresison it would be more difficult to resolve issues.
God I'm starting to sound like being easily pleased after posting a similar thing about Dell!
I use Dabs... bought my telly from them as well. They have an agreement with my employer and I get great prices. I don't use them that often now as I get most of the stuf from Vadim.
I believe that what you are asking might be available (though I will leave Vadim to answer). I would guess that if you buy your case, send the old stuff and pay for the disassembly and assembly of your PC... but you won't get a Vadim badge though (or so I whould think)...
We could do as you propose and refit your system, but it will work out to be quite costly. Personally i would say that you'd be better off taking the advice of Fruim and Eu, and just either return or sell the Dabs system and buy a new one from us
I will think about a new system, maybe in a year or 2 as it seems stupid to buy a new box for the sake if it with the new Core3 architecture etc coming out.
Just one thing is annoying me though, I bought 4x 1TB disks and only 3 are showing up as 1TB, the other is showing up as 32mb... Also, I tried installing an LG Blu-Ray Unit but the drawer kept opening of its own accord every so often (did the same on 2 units) Any ideas there?
My next update will be a new Dell 30 inch panel I was told my 3007WFP was HDCP enabled but alas, I was told a big porkie pie so I am well gutted about that
You should be still be able to play Blu-Ray movies on your 3007 on the DVI link - HDCP isn't that common and studios has agreed for the time being not to use it.
I have a LG Blu-Ray player and I don't have that problem - perhaps the software is sending signals to eject it for no good reason?

Hmm not sure about the 1TB disk showing as 32mb. Can you actually take the drives out and look at the labels? Perhaps they installed an SSD in there instead of one of the 1TB drives? Or perhaps there is a fourth 1TB drive in there but it's been formatted, allocated or partitioned incorrectly?
I've had a look at various sources on the web and they all say that the 3007WFP is HDCP compliant, but i can't guarantee it i'm afraid.
If I play through my 3007WFP, will I still get 1080P or will it be downscaled? in fact recalling I dont think PowerDVD even attempted to play back but Im not too sure on that one, all I remember was the monitor failed the PowerDVD test...
The only time it *should* downscale is when HDCP is enabled on the disc. Otherwise, it should play at full 1080P. You may need the PowerDVD HD version (I believe one is supplied with your LG Blu-Ray player).
You will probably need to update the supplied PowerDVD software and possibly the graphics card drivers as that's what I had to do with my LG Blu-ray player and graphics card.
I say a lot of "may"s because I'm no expert on this and going from my own recent experience and I know that there's an enormous controversy over the 3007 Dell on the Dell Support Forums on HDCP support with Dell's own officials contradicting each other and themselves on whether it actually supports HDCP. A disappointing result from Dell on their 2007 flagship monitor.
Regarding the 1TB thing - I seen this problem on the reviews at Newegg.com - now I can't for the life of me remember what was the problem or find the particular review!
Anyhow in my attempt to find it on Newegg, I found this link which a Western Digital 1TB user found it worked for his drive too:
