Seer try not to fret buddy I am one of the most impatient people on this planet !! but please put your faith in vadim they will fix this issue rest assured . They have gone more than the extra mile for myself on a couple of occasions and they do this for all their customers , don't worry they will fix it !! There is nothing worse than waiting ( and I've done a LOT !!) but sometimes its essential so as they can get things perfect and to make sure to the best their ability that no other issues arise or the same problem reoccurs . This issue probably happened due to transit as i can assure you Vadim take extra care and are very strict on there product testing etc.. I have had some terrible experiences with other builders the worst was with ( i wont mention their name , oh I'll give you a hint Alien **** !??? Anyway to cut a long story/rambling short it ended up that the 1st system i received was D.O.A so i was told to return the system which cost the best part of £4000. Anyway in total i was sent 5 yes that's 5 machines !! all were dead on arrival !!!!!!!!!!!! I was furious !! and during all of this i was sworn at by their staff hung up on and also my mum was insulted by a member of their staff !! I was never rude or swore at any time to any members of their staff ( and believe me i wanted to ! ) i am still waiting for the return of all my money !! anyway things will get sorted out for you seer . Be glad your not with the company i ( half ) mentioned !! Take care mate , let us know how things go Clocker 1
An update for you Seer, rather than me replying to your message on the OFRITUS system AND also on the forum, I think it would be better, quicker and more efficient to reply direct via the forum!
Our engineers are in the process of rebuilding your laptop as we speak, probably the completion time will be tomorrow now. As soon as I have an update, I will let you know again via the forum. As mentioned before, simply replacing the keyboard didn't help much. If the carcass change will show the same feel then probably this is how it was designed - to be soft to the touch. In continuation, the soft feel of the keyboard is something not out of the ordinary and honestly you are the first person to report this, we are taking this seriously and looking into this.
It may take a little time so apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thank you William.
It is strange that one side of the keyboard types differently to the other ?
If it was designed to be 'soft to the touch' you would think it would be the same across the whole keyboard, not just the R/H side. I asked several other people in our office for their opinion before contacting Vadim and the general consensus was, that there was an issue with it, which is why we asked you to look at it.
Having since looked at all of the laptops in our office, this is the only one which exhibits the characteristics you are looking at .
Maybe this is a fault in the design of the chassis ? In any event, thank you for rebuilding it (which is not what I had anticipated) and I very much hope that this resolves the problem.
Well Vadim have rebuilt our Laptop but say that it still exhibits the 'soft touch' with the keyboard. They would be happy to refund if we wish but of course we would much prefer to have the Laptop ! Additionally, they have mentioned that it may be due to the fact that it is 17" ?
So they are shipping it to us tonight, for arrival tomorrow and we very much hope that the keyboard is at least better than the original.
Our thanks go to all at Vadim for rebuilding our Laptop, which was not what we anticipated and we very much look forward to receiving it tomorrow .
Can I say to everyone concerned, that Vadim's customer service during this problem has been second to none. They have kept us consistently informed and reply to all our e-mails, politely, efficiently and promptly. Many thanks.
They have added that they have not had this problem mentioned before, so we are very hopeful that our newly rebuilt Laptop will be ok.
well Newly rebuilt Laptop has arrived and seems pretty much the same as the original,
There is a minor fault on the silver cover but it is very minor.
So I guess we will be keeping the laptop and hope that the keyboard doesn't become worse >
For anyone thinking about buying a 17" Vadim Laptop............ hmmmmm
Let me put it this way , I can highly recommend the Vadim team for all of their pre and after sales care.
I know that should anything go wrong (hopefully not) then they will do everything possible to help me .
Nuff said !!
take care everyone and thanks for your help
