I'm a very happy owner of a Vadim pc - just fantastic: and while I'm here, let me say what superb customer service I have always received from Vadim :-)
I'm busy spreading the gospel of Vadim pc's and a friend of mine is in the market for a new pc. He has a budget of about 1200gbp (inc VAT) or a 1000 ex vat. He's big into graphic design, so a darned good graphics card is a must; plenty of memory (4gb) min. And a good sound card, preferably with a box for plug in options. This is probably a big ask - but can any one help me configure a system for him?
I ask because he's pretty sold on a competitor's rig and I think Vadim are a far better long term option for him. The whole glowing lights thing isn't his scene, so we're looking at no frills set up. Plenty of disk space a must, two drives, one data, one for programmes. No monitor needed. Any help and advice gratefully received. He wants to order this week if possible, but I've been stalling him till I had a chance to get your advice.
Any suggestions gratefully received. I hope you don't mind my asking.
Anyway, with that budget and wanting a supper dupper graphics card for graphic design and most likely some decent amount of RAM is not an easy task.. and if the competiotion has it Vadim can do as well... but will it meet your friend's expectations?
This was the closest.. but there are better people than me doing these

£1264.75
£64 over budget, but that's a quad-core processor, 8GB memory, a terrabyte of storage on two drives, a high-end soundcard with an internal bay control, and a powerful (if not extremely powerful) graphics card.
Wow! I really can't thank you all enough. So much to think about - and wonderful configurations. I'll print these off and give them to him tomorrow - and I will be sure to report back on the conclusion.
