I wanted to post this here to let others and especially the Vadim team know how much I appreciate the outstanding customer service I've received in my month+ long project to get my 9800 GX2 water cooled.
There were some major hiccups early on and getting the right parts in was a struggle, but things happen, I know this. All you can ask for from a company is that they are communicative and work with you to make things right.
William and the rest of the team at Vadim did all this and more, going beyond what I would EVER have expected from a company in this industry. With other companies I would prepare for a fight when things go wrong, but not the case with Vadim, they were there with quick responses and solutions that, in the end, got the job done.
Buy with confidence from this team of friendly and capable people. Thanks a lot guys!
How is your wc 9800gx2 running??
Did Vadim overclock it??
So far so good, I went from 65-70C idle to nice and cool 40C with the waterblock installed. I haven't had time to fiddle with it yet and it is not overclocked, but I plan to. I found a real good guide to overclocking GPU's on tomshardware, I'd put the link on here but I'm not permissioned to post links!
Lets try this, I'll be a little cheeky to get around the rules: the first part of the link above + "/reviews/overclock-graphics-card,1916.html"
The useful part in this guide (for me, at least, I have used RivaTuner and nTune before) was the method of 'locking in' the overclock settings to the BIOS.
Also, an update on my GPU cooling: with the Blastflow block I'm now down to a nice and cool 35C on idle after making some minor adjustments to my case fans last night. This is a great product!

Thanks PaulS for the warm feedback - really appreciate it.
The forum doesnt allow anyone with ls than 5 posts to posts links unfortunatelly to keep the spammers away. but now you have 5 posts and you should be able to post links too.

Sure thing... and that's a good idea on the BFG card. I think anyone who purchases 9800 GX2 will want to watercool it almost immediately when they see how it just recycles hot air through their case. The installation of the water block is definitely not straightforward and very tricky.
Here is the link for tomshardware GPU overclocking in all its glory:
Temps:
Idle 35C
Load 41C
(Excellent performance from the BlastFlow block I think!)
First pass at 3dMark06: 20,475
I think there is definitely more scope to move up the OC on the GPU as well. I'll keep you posted as I go.
