Planned Watercooled System Specs

Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
Motherboard: Asus Striker II Formula 780i SLI
Memory: OCZ DDR2-1000 2x2048MB ReaperX 4GB Dual Channel Kit
Graphics Cards: 2x Gainward Bliss GeFroce 8800 GTS 512MB
Hard Drive 1: 2x 150GB Western Digital Raptors (RAID 0)
Hard Drive 2: 1x 1TB Hitachi Deskstar
Optical Drive 1: Samsung 18x SATA
Optical Drive 2: Lite On Blu-Ray SATA
Power Supply: Zalman Heatsink cooled 750W
Case: Thermaltake Xaser VI

Planned Watercooling Description

Using three seperate loops, one cooling the cpu, one cooling the vga cards and the last cooling the northbridge, southbridge and mosfet. I'll list the watercooling equipment i have planned below, but i will need a bit of help with selecting the motherboard chipset equipment.

Processor Watercooling Equipment

1xSwiftech Apogee GTX Universal CPU 3/8" and 1/2" ID
    1xBlastFlow Extreme Triple 120mm Radiator
    1xSwiftech MCP655 Laing D5 Vario 1/2" ID pump
1xAlphacool Cape Coolplex Pro 50 Reservoir

VGA Watercooling Equipment

    2xBlastFlow Siberian 8800GTS Cooling Plate
    2xBlastFlow Siberian Modular VGA Block
    1xBlastFlow Extreme Triple 120mm Radiator
    1xSwiftech MCP655 Laing D5 Vario 1/2" ID pump
1xRepack Cooling 5.25" with UV LED

Chipset Watercooling Equipment

    1xBlastFlow Extreme Single 92mm Radiator
    1xLaing DDC Ultra 12V 18W pump
    1xReservoir for Laing DDC pump

Now for the actual waterblocks, this is where i was hoping you guys could keep me right. I don't see anything for the 780i mobo and i'm not sure if the stuff you have in stock will fit. The motherboard has already been bought, so yep, any suggestions? Razz

Additional Equipment and Fluids

    3xInnovatek Protect IP
    1xInnovatec 5.25" Internal/external Radiator Mount

Case Modification and Prep

Three hard drives will be mounted on three Scythe Quiet Drives, bottom HDD enclosures and 3.5 HDD chassis removed to make way for 2 radiators and hopefully 3 pumps. Custom fabricated left side panel with holes cut to accommodate 3x 120mm fans and 1x 92mm fan. Holder located on the roof of the case removed to make room for mounting the cpu radiator on the top 5.25 bay. My only worries are the F/P cables or the PSU getting in the way *fingers crossed*. The top of the Xaser VI is meshed, so i should get away with customising that.

The Loops

CPU: resevior -> pump -> cpu block -> radiator -> resevior
VGA: resevior -> pump -> vga 1 -> vga 2 -> radiator -> resevior
Chipset: resevior/pump -> southbridge -> northbridge -> mosfet -> radiator -> resevior/pump

The Annoying Questions

Giving my infomation, is the planned setup possible?
What type and how many fittings will i need?
How much tubing do you think i will need?
What are the dimensions of the swiftech pump? (need to know if i can fit them all on the bottom of the case)
Is there anything you would change from the above setup? If so, What? and Why?

First of all, sorry for the extremely long and probably boring post. I tried to give as much detail on the specs and ideas as possible so you guys/girls understand what i'm planning to do and advise me accordingly.

Welcome Hyb!

i will answer some of your questions, but not all, sorry Smile

just so you know, you wont get much with an unlocked CPU from this mobo.

this one is quite big just so you know.

we use the EK and/or Mips maximus mosfets/northbridge blocks - they are identical.

not quite sure how you will achieve that, but please keep us posted Smile

i see an unbalanced setup above. sorry i am not an advocate of 3 loop setups. extra pump is extra heat and extra noise.

cant see everything fitting inside, but that is my first impression.

it all depends if you go for thin or thick tubes.

85x120x90mm

hope this helps and please let us know how you get on
