I wanted to see what I need to by build watercooling for my server which contains:

Supermicro X7DWA-N motherboard
2x Xeon Quad-Core 3.0
nVidia 8800GT graphics card
ARC-1220 raid controller
2x Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB SATA-II

I have already bought Thermaltake VD4000BWS LCS Kandalf Full Tower "http://www.thermaltake.com/product/Chassis/fulltower/Kandalf_lcs/vd4000bws.asp" which already has builtin watercooling but I found out the case comes only with one cpu block.

So my questions is:

1. which part of I need to watercool and what do I need to buy.
2. I'm planing to by intermal raid cage to house 4x 3.5" disks but I found out the radiator is placed in the front of the case, so would it be a problem if I replace 3 empty 5.25" disk bays with raid cage ? would that block the airflow?

Thanks

I have been looking at the specs of your case, as the raid cage will be internal i think your airflow will be ok, as the case is designed to have hdd behind the radiator. So you will need some extra tubing and a cpu waterblock that accepts 3/8” tubing. Possibly a waterblock for your gfx card as well, depends what you want. The only other thing i might add is a larger replacement resevior for improved cooling.

Just my thoughts. Hope this helps

I don't know which pump it is but the reservoir is not a problem. You can use whatever you want as long as it is placed in a higher location than the pump as gravity needs to do its work Very Happy .
