just an update - as we had the 8800GT and next week there will be the new AMD cards launched, we will not be focusing on the older models of graphics cards anymore, sorry.
So from the already launched models, we will have:
8800GTX
8800GTS
8800GT
having said that, the block on its own is compatible with the x1950, HD2900 etc and if you really need a solution to cool the memory, then it is easy to cut your own from a 1-1.5mm aluminium like it has been suggested here for a 7600GT card:
