Just thought this would be a nice section to add to your Components and peripherals section. You could do mobo, cpu and memory. Mobo, cpu, gfx, or mobo, cpu, memory and hsf etc. The possibilities are endless!!!

I think the way to go is to sell a kind of matching kit containing a CPU, mobo, memory and maybe a HSF, which overclocks all together to the maximum. In this case the user will know exactly how much performance he can squeeze out of those components. And I believe, the customers will want to pay a little premium on top of the component's price, to cover all the testing/benchmarking/matching components.

If it just to get a discount then yes its a good idea, however not all bundles will suit everyone, so I think the best way is just to order them all seperatly.

I have to agree with Wolf...alright on nameless big companies, but who comes around here buying components wouldn't be able to work out which go together?

I think it would be useful as a starting point, I didn't know the relative merits of the various motherboards and graphics cards. But in saying that I just E:mailed Vadim with what I wanted and Mark suggested a specification which I was able to modify on the website.

But I would have found it usefull.

At the end of the day, it's just a matter of what exactly you want, not what works together. There are very few components around that do not work together, and who would buy an AMD processor with an Intel mobo...very few people, and I'm sure Vadim would pick up on the odd order. When I ordered my PC I ordered a separate Wifi adapter when there was one on my mobo, and they asked me to make sure I knew what I was doing, and definitely wanted this.

the idea is very good indeed, but now we dont have enough resources to be honest to do that. probably we will make a mod in time as to show for each product what other products are compatible or recommended to go with?

I'd have to hold my hands up to that one, although not recently. I bought a cpu and motherboard. Cpu was one configuration, mobo a totally different one. Admittedly, it wasn't all my fault, as the shop said that they'd work together, and I didn't get to look at the box myself until I got home, but there ya go. Rolling Eyes Embarassed
