I have just overclocked my cpu and memory for the first time and would like your opinions on it. Because i only have air cooling i am reluctant to take it further at the moment. I used the AI overclocking options on my motherboard to achieve this.

And according to my startup screen my memory now runs at 799mhz rather than the 667mhz it was.

Do these figures seem ok or could i push it a bit further?
Also how do i check what the temps are on my cpu?

However what is tjunction? Should i be worried about the temp that is sitting at?

thats absolutelly fine Wolf, sometimes these programs will show some temperatures that arent accurate. I used yesterday Sandra to see the temps of a system and it showed AUx tempearature 119.5 degreees. no matter what i did, that number stayed the same, so obviously it has to be ignored

I think my case has to take some of the credit, all those fans in there are doing a good job of taking the hot air away. Funny thing is i am still using the stock heatsink fan.

Maybe i just got some begginers luck Very Happy

I managed to raise my Bus Speed to a tap over 500Mhz x7 = 3.5Ghz (E6300*). I used the Thermalright 120 Extreme cooler to help me along, on the P5N-E SLI motherboard with a Hr-05 to cool the warmer northbridge.
