I would usually say the same.. for example women would often be nervous about bringing 'feminine' products to a till in a supermarket if a man is the cashier.. having been working in a supermarket for a few weeks now, that certainly isn't always the case

I used to always get my Dad to buy them for me...now my boyfriend does...or I send my housemates to get them... you don't want people "knowing"
and I think that's all I'll ever say on the matter...ever
