I have this exact same problem.
Can someone tell me how to identify the bad cap? I can replace it myself, but I just don't know how to locate/identify it.

i was gonna say maybe it's the bearings in the fan, wouldn't have guessed Capacitor.

Thanks guys. I got rid of the noise. As per other poster's advice, I turned off the USB Hub power management and the noise stopped right away. Very pleased.
