I don't have any SLi capable motherboards... hopefully that will change if 780i prove to be reliable enough. But for now, my Asus 8800 Ultra is just an oversized paperweight! ROFL

Can you send a pic of that ultra and compare it to a CD or something?

Great work E_F, just a thought tho could you drop the multiplier and raise your fsb, that Number one spot he is using an q6600 Shocked.

That is what’s bothering me... I have been able to achieve over 470Mhz FSB on my Asus Maximus Formula and P5K Premium, but for some reason the Maximus Extreme locks up every time it goes past 450Mhz… Probably due to early BIOS, as I have put enough voltage through the Northbridge, FSB termination voltage and CPU PPL Voltage on this £200 motherboard to make you wince… I have gone as far as placing a small heat sink on the Northbridge VRMs to cool it down, as it gets hot just like the CPU MOSFTEs, and cooling it down allows me to somewhat stabilize the whole system running at such high clock speed.

Also, as I have previously mentioned those above me running on Q6600 CPU is using single or multiple stage vapour phase change cooling, which reduces the CPU temperature to below freezing, and pumping massive amount of voltage through those Q6600s that is simply not possible on water, as water is limited to the ambient temperature.

Just to give you a little perspective, if I were to use LN2 (Liquid nitrogen) to cool my CPU, I will be able to quite easily pass the 2000 mark of the CustomPC Benchmark using a Pentium 4 processor!!

Exotic cooling... such devilishly weird and wonderful place!! Twisted Evil

we've noticed the same - DDR3 mobo bioses are not as mature as the DDR2 ones unfortunatelly. using the same settings as on a maximus formula wont work.
