Just so everyone is on the same page, i will be making some clarity here as to how our forum works.
What do member colours mean?
We have different categories of members with different access rights:
Green - moderators, normally Vadim Employees.
Yellow - Admins. the one/ones in charge
Red - VIP's - Those who have ordered or own a Vadim PC.
Blue - Marked Ones - the forum members that have achieved master status or have earned a certain level of ratings. More explanations below.
How to become a VIP?
If your forum account and customer account are linked* and you have purchased a system from us, all you need is to log in to the forum to have automatic access to the VIP section.
and locate the link 'Join the Vadim Forums' and follow the onscreen instructions:
How to become a Marked One?
Marked Ones have access to the Blue Room. If they do not own a Vadim PC, they cannot access the VIP area at the same time. A Marked One will be Red if they have a Vadim PC and will have access to both - VIP room and Blue Room.
The rules to gain entry to the Blue Room.
1) A forumite to be eligible must:
a) Have at least 500 posts or have gained at least 20 ratings, although from time to time, there may be exceptions.
or:
b) be a VIP (own a Vadim PC) and have at least 250 posts or have gained at least 10 ratings, although from time to time, there may be exceptions.
2) The eligible forumite must be invited to the Blue Room.
- The invitations can be sent only after a pool has been run in regards to the eligible forumite and noone has any objections.
- Once a forumite have reached the entry criteria, they may or may not be invited to the Blue room. If a invitation has NOT been received within a week of becoming eligible for invitation, then the forumite will become eligible again for a another poll that will be run on reaching the next 500 posts and so on.
Ratings
- A '+' rating may be given by a fellow forumite if a particular post was helpful, entertaining or simply enlightening.
- A '-' rating may be given by a fellow forumite if a particular post has been found offensive or the poster has too many useless posts (spam)
- The admin can see who gave '-' ratings to who and if they think that is fair, then the '-' rating will be allowed. if they think it was unfair, a '+' rating will be given back to the minus rated forumite. If such minus rating will become a recurring even from that voting forumite with no valid reason, then the admin will downrate him/her by the same number of minus ratings given.
- A forumite that begs for a rating will be downrated by the admin. If such posts persist, a yellow card will be given.
Rewards
We have a forum members discount scheme in place.
In order for the discounting to remain fair, the reductions will begin with forumites that have over 100 posts (devotees) The higher your status is, the more discount you're going to get. For instance, the Innovators will be recieving slightly more discount than the Devotees. Please note that the discount will only show when you add the particular product to your shoping cart. Our coder will work in the future to show up the discount on the products page, but for now this is how it works.
Please note that this excludes orders for Custom PCs, this will work slightly differently.
Innovators will be getting free standard delivery (If in mainland UK)
Masters will be rewarded with a percentage off from the total cost of the Custom PC.
We're unable to disclose the exact algorithm of how the discounts work, but have a play around with the shopping cart and see. Existing forum members, please feel free to post the exact discount figures you are geting for each product from the website as to give some insight on what the forum rewards are like.
Example:
http://www.vadim.co.uk/Coolermaster+Dominator+690+Black
if i was to buy this based on the forum posts (ignoring my staff discount ), i would get this:
Sub-Total: £ 53.26
Forum discount: -£8.56
Standard delivery: £6.99
Credit Card Surcharge: £0.00
VAT: £9.05
Total: £60.74
The pictures of the rank descriptions are set to represent the ranks upto the Master status now, however the rest of ranks will get updated after Christmas due to the time constraints of our designer and our fellow forumites too

One question, do I need to create a seperate account on the main website bit thingy moboby () and then I can pair it up, and then when I come to purchase my Vadim, I can hopefully be in 'discount status', and it will show up my discount?

If that makes sense.
correct - if you dont have a customer account yet, please create one and then link them together and only then you can start enjoying the rewards
