Following the recent suggestions, debates and research we are proud to announce the Vadim Official Public Game Servers!
Over the last few days we were testing them with the Blue Room members and all looks good - the TF2 Server for example became popular from the first day, so if you like to come and have a play with us, please find our IP addresses below.
They run on a dual Xeon machine dedicated to us and from time to time, we may rotate/alocate/realocate other games, so this post may be edited to reflect that.
Edit 11/12/07: CS:Source removed as it wasnt popular
Edit 16/12/07: TF2 changes in the config:
- added one reserved slot that will be used when one of the regulars will want to join when the server is full. - regulars added to the list from what i could find in the logs: BarmyArmy008, fruim, Wolf, lokhup, Mirtae, Captain R!ngD!ngs -=EF_Vadim=-, Luanswan2002, Snaga, as well as admins. Please pm me your Steam ID if you wish to be added to the list and sorry for not adding everyone. (full instructions how to find your steam ID can be found here: http://www.igniq.com/2005/04/how-to-find-your-steam-id.html ) Please let me know if the reserved slot works for you as i mey need to make some more changes if it doesnt work.
- made changes to the number of times a map can be extended (upto 30 times, from 5)
- made changes to the sudden death way (now everyone will play a random same class and melee only)
- modified the welcome screen to say that who plans to play regularly and dont want to get kicked when a regular joins, they need to request on our forums for their Steam IDs to be added to the list.
- modified the number of votes to be successsful to 30% of players (it was 35% untill now)
- modified the rotations of the maps, now its random. obviously a vote will be called first and if no successful random map will be selected, only then will change.
- modified the number of of maps to be presented when voting maps from 4 to 8.
- added the ctf_dock to the votes

1. When it's full of public members - Vadim Owners can't get on?
Is there a password or Admin rights that can resolve that?
2. When I entered the IP:port as a favorite - there is no mention of Vadim in the Server Name - I think we should change that to reflect who's paying for that server?
3. Can you add tags to the login screens to direct people to the forums?
4. If we are on the server and need to kick/ban someone for foul language etc - we definitely will need admin right - otherwise the server will empty or worse still fill with undesirables?

We want the server to be public, so have decided no special preference at this time should go to forum memers. Should the servers get exceptionally busy in the future, and waiting times become long (which they definitely aren't at the moment) this could be looked into again.
I know the TF2 and CS:S servers have Vadim in the name, and I am sure if COD4 doesn't at the moment it will soon.
Wolf is working on things like that as we speak.
There will be some moderators on the servers, but again not as yet set up. Wolf is moderating them all at the moment from the admin console, but I will be a moderator on the TF2 server in the near future, I think Wolf will carry on with CS:S as he is at the moment, and we need a volunteer for COD4, although it is not very busy at the moment

I'd beg to differ!
I can't get on COD4 - remember COD series is the second most played game next to WOW online. It's always busy!
If your looking for a COD4 Mod - let me know i'll be happy to help?
But do you speak for Vadim???

I don't speak for them, but I have a good idea what is going on.
I'm sorry about COD4...I've not actually been on it, it's just what I have heard from others.
If you speak to Wolf about it, I am sure he will let you know.
