I have this headset and its awe...er, really, really good. Its weird cos the sound that comes out doesn't sound like its coming from headphones, its got that surround sound feel and yet, there you are with a set of headphones on! Brilliant for games, really good for music too...
Just noticed this doesn't mention the leather carry pouch you get with them, its very useful for carrying them around and dust-free storage too. There's even a in-built pouch on the inside just for your microphone!
It's a matter of preference really, I prefer headsets to speakers simply because there's the freedom of always being able to have games/music as loud as I want without disturbing anyone
I would say surround sound set-ups are the favourable option among the masses though, neighbors and budget permitting. however, it's a difficult comparison to make as I didn't have any 5.1 speakers handy to compare with at the time I wrote the review
When I loosen the purse strings and buy a 5.1 system, I'll let you guys know how it goes
